Friends first in Beldine Racine Hall.
December 5th, 2025 - Chicago, Illinois
Kieran & Nang
We got married because we love each other, and because this life is ours to choose. This is our little home base for the story, ceremony, photos, answers, and whatever comes next.
A marriage archive
Part announcement, part scrapbook, part source of truth.
This is where the whole story can live: why we chose each other, what happened that morning, the handmade FAQ, the photos, the ceremony video, future celebration plans, and notes from the people we love.
The story
DePaul dorms, a first date at the Art Institute, tiny rooms, sushi, and free mac and cheese.
02The ceremony
A freezing, chaotic, intimate morning at the Daley Center with borrowed cash and Amazon rings.
03The photos
The wedding day album: downtown light, courthouse moments, portraits, and the people who were there.
04Send love
Leave a note, a toast, a memory, or anything you want us to keep from this season.
Why we did it
We chose each other. That was enough.
We got married because we love each other, not because we needed anyone's permission to make it real. The day was freezing, chaotic, intimate, nostalgic, and genuine. It felt like us.
The beginning of this chapter
From DePaul dorms to forever.
We met in 2018 in the DePaul dorms, Beldine Racine Hall to be exact. We started talking as friends, the way the best things sometimes begin: casually, honestly, without knowing how much a person is about to matter.
Some of the earliest memories still feel perfectly us. Kieran falling asleep on Nang's mattress topper while she was studying for finals. Nang getting her first tattoo and wanting to show him first.
Our first date was the Art Institute of Chicago and sushi at Hot Woks Cool Sushi next to the museum. On the walk there, someone from Kraft was handing out free mac and cheese, which feels like the kind of strange, perfect Chicago detail a story should keep forever.
Art Institute, miniature rooms, sushi, and surprise mac and cheese.
Daley Center, Amazon rings, borrowed cash, and our people.
The day in motion
Not polished. Perfect.
Some wedding days are rehearsed down to the minute. Ours became a story while it was happening.
Getting ready at home
The day started before the city fully woke up. We got ready together in our apartment and stepped out into a cold Chicago morning.
Finding marriage court
We teamed up with a stranger who was also trying to find marriage court so she could see her daughter.
Borrowed cash
We did not have the ten dollars in cash we needed, so Autumn became part of the story in the most practical possible way.
Fifteen-dollar Amazon rings
They were simple, imperfect, and completely ours.
Bagels, art, sushi
Einstein Bros. Bagels, the Art Institute, and Hot Woks Cool Sushi brought the first date back into the wedding day.
The ceremony
Watch it with us.
We kept the ceremony private and close, with Mom, Dad, Autumn, and Blake there with us. The day started early at home in our apartment, then turned into the exact kind of story we will tell forever.
We found our way alongside a stranger trying to get to marriage court for her daughter, realized we did not have the ten dollars in cash we needed, borrowed it from Autumn, and exchanged fifteen-dollar Amazon rings.

What comes next
Our update board
This section can become the running record for anything wedding-related: new photos, celebration plans, travel details, reception notes, and little milestones from married life.
We do want a bigger ceremony and reception later. For now, we are giving that dream room to become real without rushing it, and this will be the place where details appear when they are ready. Formal invites will come later.
Ceremony video is here
The video is available so friends and family can watch the ceremony from wherever they are.
Wedding photos added
The gallery is live with moments from the day. More can be added as the collection grows.
A larger ceremony is still ahead
When the timing and budget line up, we hope to celebrate with more of our people. Formal invites will come later, and we will share plans here first.
Send us love
Leave us a note.
Send us love, a memory, a toast, a tiny blessing, a favorite photo caption, or anything you want us to keep from this season.
This opens an email draft addressed to us, which keeps the site simple while still giving everyone a way to be part of the guestbook.
